Esen Tunalı Sarı is the designer and software developer behind SILVER & ELEGANT. Born in Ruse, Bulgaria, she grew up in Bakırköy, Istanbul, in a neighbourhood where nearly every family was connected to the city's historic silversmithing trade in Kapalıçarşı. She did not grow up in the workshops — but she grew up next to them, watching craft practised as a daily discipline rather than a performance.
Years later, her background in software development enabled her to view code not as a tool for automation, but as a sculpting chisel. Her practice bridges these two worlds — mathematical precision and historic craftsmanship.

Every SILVER & ELEGANT piece is cast and hand-worked by our master artisan in Kapalıçarşı, Istanbul. Trained over decades in techniques passed down rather than taught in a classroom, our craftsman possesses a deep, intuitive material intelligence — reading the generative files from London, understanding where the silver wants to flow, where the hammer must strike, and where the surface should be softened. This human element ensures that no two pieces are identical, preserving authentic human touch in an age of machine replication.
We choose not to share individual identities beyond the brand itself. The work speaks for the practice.
Our workspace exists in a state of continuous dialogue between two cities. In our studio in Borehamwood, London, the algorithms run, the geometries are computed, and the visual systems are generated. In Istanbul, the fire is lit, the crucible is poured, and the metal is finished. This dual model combines digital innovation with centuries-old metalworking traditions, creating a unique signature of wearable architecture.
